LATE MR SHEAHAN.
REQUIEM MASS SUNG. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Saturday. The Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Cathedral this morning for the late Mr Michael Joseph Sheahan, actingConsular Agent for Italy and a prominent churchman and sportsman, was largely attended, those present including the Prime Minister, Mr Savage, the Hon. W. E. Parry, the Mayor, Mr Ernest Davis, Consular representatives and chairmen and members of local bodies. Bishop J. M. Liston presided, attended by Monsignor Holbrook and Dr. G. Roberts, of Sydney. The celebrant of the Mass was Monsignor Ormond.
