Thursday 08 62 Friday 85 63 Mean Temperature, 74 deg. The barometer reads 30.00 with a slightly rising tendency. Indications are for fair to cloudy weather today, Avith seasonable temperatures; scattered showers, north-easterly winds prevailing. The Rainfall. Rainfall for 24 hours ended 9 o’clock this morning, .45in. Rainfall foT previous 24 ■hours, .35in. Total rainfall for December to date, 1.72 in. Average rainfall for December, 3.38 in. Rainfall for year to date, ol.olin. Yearly average, 46.32 in. SOUTH AUCKLAND AREA. ( By Govt. Meteorologist.) The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley is as follows: Forecast: Light to moderate and variable winds, with north-easterlies gradually prevailing. Weather fair to line and warmer. Seas moderate. General Inference: An anticyclone of rather slight intensity covers New Zealand, but a rather deep depression is isolated east of New South Wales.
