FOR SUMMER DAY*3. Milk Lemonade.—Take $ pint cold milk, 1 pint boiling water, 3 lemons. Dissolve the sugar In the boiling water and pour It over the lemon rind, then add the lemon juice. Let It stand till cold, then add the milk. Pineapple Lemonade! —Take 1 tin plnoapple squares, i lemons, T> pints boiling water, sugar to taste. Cut the pineapple into small pieces and turn into a basin with their own juice and tho lemon juice. Pour over the boiling water and add sugar. Cover the basin olosoly for three hours. Strain and use. Lemon Ice Cream Soda.—Take 1 lemon, Ice cream, soda water! Pul into a large tumbler the juice of the lemon and add a little sugar. Next place In the glass a portion of ice cream, which may be flavoured with either orange or vanilla, and All up with soda water. Serve at once with straws. Lemon Squash.—Take •\ lemons, Cor, sugar, Aoz citric acid, 1 quart cold water. Select lemons which are free from spok, wash well and dry." them. Pare very thinly, so that only the yellow part comes off. Squeeze and strain the Juice. Put the rind and juice into a jug, add the sugar, citric acid, and water. Allow to stand for four hours on ice, and serve. Lemon Ice.—Take 2 lemons, Jib castor sugar, i pint thick cream, 1 pint water. Pare the lemons thinly to obtain only the yellow rind and boil this In the water until the flavour ,is cxIraeted. Add the sugar to the hot water, after removing the rind, and when cold stir In tho cream and strained juice of lemon. Serve in glasses with a slice of fresh lemon on top.
