WELLINGTON, Saturday. Lamason Joined Ell and the score after the first hour was 30. Ell was bowled by Sims and the board showed five down for fifty. Lamason and Rainbird livened the batting, the latter sending Langridge to the boundary twice in succession. The hundred went up in 105 minutes, tne partnership adding fifty runs in thirty minutes of confident and attractive batting.
