JPJEAR GIRLS AND BOYS, This letter Is written to you from the midst of the most fasolnatlng toy-shop you ever saw. In a row faolng Peter with big laughing eyes there are ten golliwogs sitting, and In front of them, on dolls’ beds and In prams, there are dolls—every Imaginable kind of doll In dresses of all colours. And there are animals of different varieties, the kind you blow up and the kind you cuddle at bedtime, and wooden ones on wheels that you pull along. And there are bags of sweets and bags of marbles, and piles of books and games, and pencils and. aprons and lots and lots of Just everything. Peter has had visitors all day, and most of them thought they had come to the wrong room. The Wendy-Person has been very busy and the huge apron she bought has been very useful, and Is very grubby Indeed now. By the time you are reading this they will all have crept Into their parcels and have been taken to their new homes, and Peter will have his old office back with Its picture of Peter Pan on his statue In Kensington Gardens, and three vases of flowers and the usual ofHoe tables. And It will not be half as Interesting as before, but perhaps will be easier to walk about In. The Christmas paroels have been pouring In. The Wendy-Person said “ Good gracious, Peter, you will need nearly all the Page to thank them, but It has been disappointing to have quite a number of parcels with no name at all. Peter does thank yoii very much Indeed whoever sent them, and although he does not know who It Is he appreciates their kindness. To the Mothers and Fathers and old friends of the Clrole whose Interest seems to live on he sends special Christmas greetings and very sincere thanks for the help they have given the Clroleltes that belong to them.
