THE JUNIOR LEAGUE.

Dear Boys and Girls, —The year is quickly drawing' to a close, but before that can come about Father Time greets Father Christmas on Ills long, long journey around the world. What joy and run there Is for each one or us to spread around. Do help to make this Christmas the best yet. 01' course you will all see to It that your pets have a special treat on Christinas Day.. Now the happy days or holiday have commenced, and for six or eight weeks you are to enjoy the summer suns at the lakes, seaside,' in the country. Let Tinker Pell wish you the .(oiliest Christmas, with the happiest holiday and New Year to come. Well, our happy Club meetings are closed for the holidays too from December 13 to February, but all Juniors must still carry out their Daily Deed or Kindness, and now you will have more time to see things in the daytime. The final Club meeting in the rorm or a Christmas Party was held in TOorak. A very Jolly and happy time was spent by all. 1 know that our country members are anxiously awaiting the results or the year’s work. Peggy McKinely cjime second with three; she received a fancy pincushion with ■ handkerchief set In a basket of sweets. Well done, Peggy. Both these girls are living in town. Do try and heat them next year, country members. The 8.0. n. member was won by Bill McHallle, who received a Champion Book for Boys; his marks were ifs. Well done, Bill. Rod, ills brother, came second with 103 marks; he received a comb and minor set.. Well done, Rod. Both these hoys are town members. No country member won a prize this time. Better work next year, I hope. I will tell you all the other prizewinners at the party next week. There seems so much l must say, hut 1 will say a big Thank You to the Juniors Who were responsible for the lovely gift you presented to me with the lovely bouquet of sweet peas. I do love you all for it, an.! I am looking forward to happy times with my Junior League next year. Cheerio to all Waikato members. TINKER BELL.
