FAREWELL SOCIAL. In view or his departure to join the Air Force in - England, Ronnie Woolford, the 16-year-old son or Mr and Mrs J. Wnoirord, was tendered a send-oIT on Saturday h.v old pupils or the Te Funinga School and members of the To Puninga Bible Class. There was a large attendance and a pleasant time was spent. A presentation of a fountain pen. suitably inscribed was made by G. Spice, a former school mate.

Speaking or Bonnie's career at the school, Mr Sktmngton. headmaster, said that his achievement in applying for and gaining entrance Into the AllForce was the reward or Initiative, ambition and courage. While at school' Ronnie had been a stalwart of the school loothall team, and had shown his prowess as a player in Hamilton. Rev. B, M. Chrystall rererred to the active association of the Wooirord family In the work of the Bible Class and the Methodist Church. He was confident that Bonnie would he true to the high Ideals Imparted by bis early training. Mr J, Johanson spoke of Ronnie's career at the Hamilton Technical School, saying that he was the best halfback at the school and a good all-round sport. Musical honours for the guest of the evening were accorded with much enthusiasm. ■
