COMPETITION CUP. PRESENTED BY MR G. M. SPENCE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NELSON, Thursday. Further evidence as to the practical Interest taken in aviation in New Zealand by Mr G. M. Spence, who lias resigned from the presidency of tlie New Zealand Aero Club after several years of outstanding service, was furnished at prize day at the Nelson College when a handsome cup named tho “ Spence Cup " was presented to a pupil of Nelson College, R. Lucas, who was runner-up for Hie Bledlsloo aviation trophy. Each year the Spence Cup will go to the winner of either Hie North or South Island competition who Is the runner-up in the final for iho Bledisloc trophy. _________________ |
