MOTOR-CAR WRECKED.
COLLISION BEYOND ROTORUA. -CAMBRIDGE MAN INJURED, (Special to Times.) , CAMBRIDGE, Friday. Receiving severe head injuries when he was thrown through the windscreen of a small car following a collision on the Rotoiti Road, 20 mites beyond Rotorua, early yesterday morning, Mr Royston Twining, of Cambridge, was admitted to the Rotorua Hospital in a serious condition. Mr Twining was a passenger in a light -car driven by Mr R- Wilkins, of Cambridge. • Rounding a sharp corner of the road a head-on collision’ with a heavy-duty lorry occurred and totally wrecked the ■car. The lorry, which is owned toy Messrs Morgan Brothers, of Auckland, was driven by Mr Martin and was extensively damaged in the front portion. Mr Twining, who suffered extensive head and facial injuries was admitted to the Rotorua Hospital in an unconscious state and his -condition is regarded as serious. The other occupant of the car was cut by flying glass but after receiving attention were able to return to Cambridge.
