WOMAN TEACHER’S SUIT. CLAIM AGAINST LAND AGENT. FARM BOUGHT FOR FIANCE. WELLINGTON, Thursday. Mr Justice Reed, in the Supreme Court to-day, gave his reserved judgment In the appeal of Dorothy Evelyn Duke, of Masterton, school teacher, against the Judgment of a magistrate which debarred her from recovering £3OO paid to a land agent In connection with the purchase of a farm for her fiance, Grant Smith, who was unable to complete the purchase, and afterwards disappeared, the deal lapsing. His Honour dismissed the appeal, being unable to say that there was not sufficient evidence to support the magistrate's finding.
