WAITOA FUNCTION. in view or his departure this week lo join the Air Force In England, Mr Ronald Wooll'ord, son or Mr and Mrs J. Woolford, or ivo. 7 Road, ltrooklleld, was tendered a farewell In the ltrooklleld Hall by old pupils or the Te I’lininga School and members of the Te I’uninga Bible Class. There was a large attendance, and a pleasant lime was spent In games and dancing. \ presentation or a I'ouutain-pcn suitably inscribed'was made by Mr G. Spice, a former schoolmate. The qualities or Mr wooll'ord were eulogised by Mr 11. sKiitiiiglon' (headmaster of the Te P.unlnga School), Rev. It. M. Chrystall, and Mr .1. Johansen, of the Hamilton Technical College Mr Wooll'ord will sail for England by Hie Rotorua rrom A'apier on Frida w Musical honours were accorded the guest of the evening, and a very enjoyable rune lion was brought to a close with the sin#’ las of “Aula Lang Syne,"
