GAS CHARGES
CONCESSION GRANTED. ENCOURAGING CONSUMPTION. In order to encourage the use of gas for domestic purposes, principally for water heating, the Borough Council last night adopted a recommendation of the gas engineer involving a concession. From tlie readings commencing In January the price charged for private domestic consumers, not including those with check meters, will bo 10s, less a discount of 10d per 1000 cubic feet for (he first 2000 cubic feet, and 0s Bd, less lOd, per 1000 cubic feet, for any additional consumption, per month.
