SHARE-MILKING DISPUTE. CASE AT CAMBRIDGE. (Special to Times.) CAMBRIDGE, Wednesday. An involved share-milking dispute was heard at the Magistrate’s Court, to-day before Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M., when John Hoskins, or Cambridge, sued Edward Allen, farmer, of Pukekura, for £52-1 0s 7d. Defendant counter-claimed for £23 Ss 3d. Mr N. Johnson appeared for plaintiff and Mr J. F. Strang for defendant. The claim embraced a number of Issues, Including claims for extra work done on defendant's farm, for digging drains for a water pipe-line, repairing fences, and other Incidental work. After detailed evidence had been given Mr Paterson stated that the plaintiff should succeed on the general issue, though he disallowed claims Tor attendance to a water ram, digging well, digging trenches, cutting hedges and gorse, carting of shingle and shirting a trough. He allowed half the amount, for repairing fences. The magistrate also allowed plaintiff £l3 for certain other work done on the farm. A portion of a counter-claim was allowed. " Tilts is one or those awkward sharemilking disputes,” said Mr Paterson, “ and it would have helped all round if better accounts had been kept and better agreements made between the parties. t can only give judgment by rule of thumb and counsel will have to work out the actual amounts due each to the other. Parties should not come to the Court and expect it to he their auditor. That is not its purpose.” ____________
