VICE-REGAL VISIT.
LORD AND LADY GALWAYFUNCTION AT OTOROIIANGA. (Special to Times.) OTOROHANGA, Thursday. The Governor-General, Viscount Galway, accompanied by Lady Galway and staff, officially visited Otorohanga yesterday and were welcomed at the town luill by a large gathering of citizens, residents of the rural areas, school children, returned soldiers and members of (Tie various local bodies of the town and district. The Governor-General addressed the 'school 'Children* who will bo granted a special holiday to mark the visit of the vice-regal party. He then shook hands with the returned soldiers and made a short speech regarding 1 lie general world unrest ami the stability and integrity of the British Empire, which, he said, always recovered from gloomy depressions and forebodings sooner than other countries that experienced political and financial setbacks. Amid hearty cheers the party left for To AwamuLu at 10 o'clock.
