STOCK EMBARGO.
QUESTION OF REMOVAL. NO DECISION MADE. His failure to understand recent remarks of Lord Blodisloe suggesting that Hie stock embargo would be lifted was expressed by the Minister of Agriculture, (lie Hon. W. Lee Martin, when speaking at Tc Uku last evening.
The mailer had not been under consideration by (lie new Cabinet, said Mr Marlin, and in view of the result of the plebiscite of farmers’ organisations be could only endorse 1 lie aelion of the former Minister in retaining Hie present restrictions. Until the attitude of farmers underwent a definite change from that recently expressed he did not feel justified in bringing the matter before Cabinet for reconsideration.
