DRUNK IN CHARGE
young MAN FINED. I y A CAMBRIDGE ’CASE. (Special to Times.) CAMBRIDGE, Wednesday. Robert Armstrong, a farm labourer, of Pukeroro, was convicted and fined £5, in addition to having his driver’s license cancelled to May 31, 1936, when he appeared before the Court today before Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M., on the charge of being drunk in charge of a car on October 26. Tho charge arose out of licensing charges brought before a previous sitting of the Cambridge Court. Constable 11. Maisey staled that he Interviewed Armstrong on other matters and defendant had admitted that he was drunk in charge of a car on October 26, in Duke Street. Constable Bowie read a statement made by Armstrong which made it clear that he was drunk at the time.
