The special forecast by (he Government Meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Volley is as follows: Forecast: Moderate to strong north-east to north winds of gale force at places. Weather dull and misty, with further rain. Mild temperatures. Seas rough. General Inference: An anticyclone is centred east of the Dominion, while a cyclone is located west of the North Island.
