THE ANNUAL MEETING. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. CAMBRIDGE, Friday. The thirteenth annual meeting: of the Cambridge Competitions Society was held last evening, when the president, Mr F. n. Wooldridge, presided over a ralr attendance of . members. Wooldridge, D. W. Arlell, E. L. Hardy, W. Munroe, Messrs. James, W. Maberly, R. S. Entwlstle, A. ‘J. Boyce, ,1. C. Outran, W. Weatherell, C. W. Venue!!, C. W. Boyce and A. W. Give. Stage manager, Mr u. S. Harbutt; secretary and treasurer, Mr Edgar James; auditor, Mr F. M. Oliver. A suggestion was made that, In view of the reduced attendances at the day session these be held In the Parish Hall. The president stated that the Town Hall olTercd excellent facilities, especially for the dancing classes. He felt tint the council should meet, tho society more favourably with the rental, which was at present higher thdn that paid by any other private or public enterprise using the hall. A suggestion that the festival ho held In the school holidays brought forth some comment and the matter was referred tn j the incoming commit ten. It was declded.-to place on record appreciat'd) or the work of the secretary, Mr Edgar James. Mr F. M. Oliver was also thanked Tor his service as honorary auditor. The question of ilnance was also discussed at length and the opinion was expressed that the coming year would see a more favourable result. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to outgoing officers.
