At Ditton, where the Food Investigate Board maintains a permanent laboratory, several tons of fruit are now under observation, the bulk of it housed in gas-illled refrigerators. Six of these coolers were recently presented by British fruit growers, whose one desire is to see the gas storage of apples rendered a commercial success.
