"THAT WELL-SET-UP LOOK"
It is not the number of dresses we have, nor their variety, which gives us that well-set-up look, but the scrupulous attention to detail, states a fashion writer in the Sydney Morning Herald. Accessories always lend distinction and charm to the simplest outfit, particularly to sports clothes. Comfort, though important for spo'rts efficiency, must yield nothing to perfect finish and appearance. Golf, perhaps more than any other sport, provides sportswomen with countless accessories, because the equipment as well as the clothes worn for the game lend themselves to the use of accessories. The latter, too, make delightful and acceptable Christmas presents for the associate who is really keen about her game and her appearance. New Golf Shoes. A new feature in golf shoes are those designed in the manner of the Belgian peasant’s footwear. The uppers are of nigger brown non-scuff suede, with fringed leather tongues and a low, fiat heel. Smartness combined with comfort. —they are broad across the toes—characterises these shoes. A washable calf golf bag for clubs and 'a handbag with zipper fastening and a long strap to throw over the shoulder, when the hands are occupied, arc essential for all golfers. The handbag is capacious enough to carry all feminine necessities as well as balls and the like, and it adds a finishing touch to the dress of the golfer. Even the clubs have "socks” designed for them. They may be of the woolly variety, designed to match the cardigan or jumper, or particularly smart leather covers with zipper fasteners. The more Scotch-minded of the golfing enthusiasts may prefer the tartan water-proof covers for their clubs.
