PETER PAN’S, LETTER.
IT) EAR GIRLS AND BOYS, Will you be able to remember to send In the very last gifts for the Cheer Chest by Monday or Tuesday at the latest? The Wendy-Person has bought a simply huge apron and seoreted It In Peter’s cupboard ready for all the unpacking, paoklng and parcelling that will be going qn, and we have a huge roll of string and one of brown paper, too, and a long list, and altogether wo feel like the little elf people that holp Santa In his workshop (or at least as busy as they are). Tho twins are simply dying to help, but Peter, having remembered the stars and the upset ho was in with members having the wrong ones, has said “No” vory firmly, and they are to come for a little while Just to watch and dust. Jenne said, very hopefully, “ Perhaps Mummy would let us stay till midnight, Peter, if YOU asked her,” but Peter was very firm about that too. This week there have been guests for the Cheer Chest from Eunice Graham, Connie Trundle, Kathleen Frost, Lorna and Gladys Clarke, Valerie. Goldfinch (aged 4), Greta Rogerson, Kandy Koola, an Old Member of the Clr.cle, who sent the loveliest parcel, and new stamps from Margaret Wallace, Marian Clark, and Helen Watkins. Such a lovely long list, is It not? Peter was vory thrilled Indeed. But please do not think your work Is finished; If you manage to finish that other little toy you are making do try and send It In by Monday or Tuesday. Peter has been so very busy he Is not sure whether he Is on his head or his heels just now, and he has not had time for even a peep at his beloved garden. “No-One” is as busy as he Joan possibly be. with Christmas ideas, but old “Some-One” Is the laziest thing Imaginable and spends all his time under a big shady tree sleeping. Little “Any-Ono” Is chirping away at the sunshine, but he Is not old enough to be a very good singer yet. Peter Is sure he will be splendid when he' has grown a little more. Love to you all from Peter under a heap of Christmas competition entries, ================= fel<e>v =====
