TEMPERANCE UNION.
OTOROHANGA BRANCH. The annual meeting of the lOtorohanga branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union was held in the local Methodist Church recently, when there was a good attendance of members and friends of the movement. The election -of officers resulted:— President, Mrs E. W. Tozer (Hvio Xlo); vice-presideilts, Mesdames Webster and G. Hall: treasurer, Mrs W. Black; secretary, Mrs J. -C. Clarke; ribbon agent, Miss Rogers. The -president was -presented with a beautiful bouquet of -seasonal blooms by Mrs Webster, In recognition of pastservices, whilst a large birthday cake with eight candles was cut by the ■oldest member, Mrs R. Bell. *An enjoyable afternoon tea followed the business of the meeting.
