TIRAU NOTES.
ENJOYABLE FUNCTION HELD. The Tirau Hall was a soene of gaiety at the annual cricket danoe held on Wednesday evening, when there was a large number present. Visitors were present from Matamata, Putaruru, Okoroire and surrounding districts. Excellent music was supplied by an orchestra and extras were given by Mr R. Marshall, of Tirau. A novelty dance was won by Miss M. Carruth. and Mr Stephens. Among those present were:—Mesdames Fraser, Stewart, Strong, Clark, Goodwin, Brown, Bellamy (Okoroire). Misses V. Bear, wearing dusky pink sand crepe; IR. Brown, black satin beaute; M. Jordon, ivory spun silk; M. Inman, red and white patterned crepe suede; L. Sewell (Te Kuiti), wine silk marocain and sequins; M. Carruth (Okoroire), black chiffon velvet and scarlet roses; I. Kinlock, cream silk; M. Barker, sapphire blue marocain; A. Bear, blue and white spotted dimity and blue -sash; P. (Little, ivory crepe cotelle; L. Strong, floral georgette; E. Barker, palest green satin; M. Tyrrell, ivory satin; A. Goodwin, blue figured georgette over satin; E. Clark, midnight blue marocain; A. Barker, black satin and .scarlet trimmings; S. Syme, white pique voile; G. Mclntyre (Matamata), floral organdie.
