CAMBRIDGE POST OFFICE.
EXTENSIVE ALTERATIONS. WORK TO COST ABOUT £2OOO. (Special to Times.) CAMBRIDGE, FridayEarly in the new year extensive alterations and additions are to be carried out at the Cambridge Post Office, at a cost in the vicinity of £2OOO. The alterations provide for a road frontacre of 78ft., an increase of 28ft. on the length of the existing building. There will be two entrances one at each end of the building. Already the Postmaster. Mr AV. Drake, lias removed to a private residence and the whole of the lower and upper floors will be. utilised for business. There will be increased publiccounter facilities and other improvements including special seating provision.
The. alterations, which were included in last, year’s estimates, will bo made in concrete and brick and finked to match the present building.
