In the tennis test match, Australia v. South Africa, Crawford (Australia) defeated Kirby (South Africa), 6—4, 6—4. Quist (Australia) defeated Farquharson (South Africa), 6—3, 6—2. Crawford and Quist (Australia) defeated Farquharson and Musgrove (South Africa), 2—6, 6—3, 6 —4, 6—4. Australia won by six matches to nil.
