Two hundred and thirty-nine caslcs offered of which 182 sold. Present spot quotations are:—Mutton: Fine, 33s Gd; fair to good, 27s Gd to UTs; dark to dull. 2is to 235. Beef: Sweet and/or mixed, 28s to 30s; fair to good, 25s Gd to 27s Gd; dark to dull, 23s Gd to 255. Mixed: Fair to good, 25s Gd to 27s Gd: dark to dull, 24s to 255; gut, etc., 23s to 235. Hemp: Manila: Market quiet and unchanged. Sisal: Market steady. September-November shipment quoted buyers at £lB. New Zealand: Nothing to report. Apples: Practically cleared. Current prices are: Dougherty, 12s to iGs; Stunner, 10s to 1 is.
