JUVENILE OFFENDER

ONLY SIX YEARS OLD. ALREADY A PUBLIC DANGER. Though only six years of age, a Gloucester hoy was stated at Lhe Juvenile Court in that city to he a public danger and entirely beyond the control of his parents. The Magistrates sent him to an approved school. The Education Officer, Dr. H. J. Larcombe, said the boy had to he excluded from a Gloucester school because ho was a danger to the teachers and was constantly stealing. He stole many articles from the clothes of his schoolmates, and nothing could he left about in safety. He climbed through a classroom window during lhe lunch hour, forced a cupboard and stole money. He was subject to fits ol' uncontrollable temper and was then dangerous, lie had injured several teachers. On one occasion lie asked a woman in Lhe street for money, and when sin: refused threw a stone at her which struck her on lhe head and caused concussion.

Beyond Control. lie threw stones at people passing in the street and was the cause of many complaints. Detective Collision said the hoy recently attempted lo rob the tills of two shops, and when caught gave the name and address of a school friend. He robbed a little girl of money with which she went shopping. His parents were very respectable, but could not control him. It was also stated that there was no reason for his had behaviour.
