BRIDGE CONTRACT.
TENDER ACOEPTED. ACCESS TO PLIMMERTON. (Bv Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. Ml obstacles concerning the road bridge at 'Parcmata lo give direct access’to Plimmerlon by road have now been overcome and the Public Works Department lias accepted Hie lender of M. G. Templeton at 119787 9s 6d. This does not. include steel which is |o lie supplied by the Department. Work on both the bridge and the mile of road lo lead from it into Pareniula will commence Immediately. The bridge will be ready within 12 months, and the road has been declared a main highway. The bridge will bo of nine spans on concrete piers, carrying a 22ft. roadway and ,4ft. footways .on either 61(36.
