READING OF “ THE PATSY.” The Playbox read “ The 'Patsy,” a comedy by Barry Conners, on Wednesday night under the direction of Mr George Bagley. There was a good audience.. Splendid work was done by the readers, and the performance was much enjoyed. "The Patsy” was staged in New Zealand some years ago by a professional company headed by the American star, Irene Homer. It is a very amusing and romantic .story of a -girl who adopted unusual tactics to “get her man.” The cast was as follows:—Patricia Harrington (the Patsy), Mrs T. C. Adam; Mrs Harrington, Mrs H. Varney; Grace Harrington. Miss N. Reid; Bill Harrington, Mr E. Marsh; Tony Anderson, Mr G. A'bsolum; Billy Caldwell, Mr G. Bagley.
