THE WOMEN’S DIVISION

HAMILTON BRANCH MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Hamilton branch of (ho Women’s Division was held on Tuesday, when there was a very large attendance. Mrs Roebuck was in the chair and the meeting opened with the Creed, followed by the roll-call, “ Favourite motto." The secretary. Miss McMiken, read two letters of thanks received from ihe 'King Country for parcels of clothing which the branch had sent out. Mrs Roebuck, who was a delegate to the recent Dominion conference, gave a very interesting outlino of Hie business transacted. It was decided that the next Dominion executive meeting is to bo held in Hamilton early in the New Year. Mrs Seal gave a talk on Ihe prevention of cruelty to animals and urged members to support the society’s resolution to the Government regarding tilc transport of bobby calves and other stock. The resolution, when put to tlie meeting, was carried unanimously. A very helpful demonstration on home nursing was given by Mrs Luxford, for which she was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
