FIRST INGLESIDE” NIGHT. SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION HELD. The ncwiv rornicd To Arolia Caledonian Society held Its “First Ingleside” at the Parish Hull on Wednesday evening, when visitors were present from all parts of the district as well as from Matamata, Hamilton ail'd Auckland. Tile gathering was a pronounced success, the Items being of a high standard. Proceedings opened with welcomes by ClilefiHtu N. 0. McLeod to Chieftains Eric Trevena and A. .Tulin, of Iho Hamilton and Matamata Caledonian Societies respectively, and the Hamilton Pipe Hand. Highland dances were performed by To Aruba district gills, while the Auckland. Hamilton and Matamata visitors presented Highland set dances. Vocal solos were contributed by Mrs Lo Pettltt and Miss McLeod (Auckland), Mrs Miller and Miss Foster (Hamilton-); vocal duet by Mi's l.e Pettltt ami Miss McLeod; violin solo by Mrs Mcl.acblan (Hamilton); and elocutionary Hems by Mrs Harlow (liamiHoii).
