SENSATION AT WAIHI.
SEQUEL TO MATRON’S DISMISSAL. WAIIII, Wednesday. The decision of the Walhl Hospital Board last night to dispense with the services of the matron, Miss K. In Ihe ease of the nurses and nursing aids the reasons given for their decision are that they object to the reinstatement of Miss Holvie and Ihe publicity given reports, the correctness of which they question, regarding hospital matters, while as far as the domestics are concerned, they state that their reason is due to Miss Stevenson leaving the institution. Those resigning include eight, domestics, who have asked to he relieved of their duties a week hence, eight nursing aids who have given a fortnight’s notice, and two sisLers and three staff nurses, who announced their intention of relinquishing their positions in o month's time-
Miss Stevenson relinquished her duties as matron this morning, but will remain in Waihi for a few days. Her pnsl is being temporarily tilled by Nursing-Sister V. Wliitw
