THE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. COMPETITOR HOLES IN ONE. United Press Assn.— Klee. Tel. Copyright. ADELAIDE, Aug. 22. Play in the open golf championship of Australia began to-day at Seaton. The Victorian professional, G. Naismith, at the end of tho day, led the Held with 71, which is two better than par. The South Australian professionals, A. Toogood, R. Stewart and W. Harvey, and the New South Wales professional, G. Gray, each returned cards of 72. The scoro of the New South Wales amateur, J. Perrier, was 73, and that of the title-holder, W. Bolger, 77. Tlie second round will be played tomorrow. W. S. Rymill to-day startled tho gallery by holding at the twelfth (1 COyards) in one, as did Ivo Whitton in the 1932 open championship.
