CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.
SOCIAL EVENING HELD. TRIBUTE TO PIPE BAND. A very enjoyable social evening was held recently by the South Auckland Caledonian Society in the Winter Show Hall for tho purposes of expressing the society’s appreciation of ils pipe band. Tho guests for the evening included Mr McDonald, of Nova Scotia, nlid Mr Leslie, of Auckland, After tin: honouring of various toasts, Ifie following programme was given:—Pipe solo, Mr Robertson: pipe duct, Messrs Kennedy and Forster; violin solo, Mr Wale; pipe solo, Mr Clothier; recitation. Mr Itogerson; pipe solos, Messrs n. Mathlcpon and H. Watt. Tim evening was brought to a close by the singing of "Aulil Lang Sync."
