Big River. —Following is the report for the week ended August 15:— South slope: Filling in worked ground now', in progress. Winzes: North winze —Sunk A fool; total 8 feet; sinking on full face of stone. Centre Winze —lslink 3 feel; total 29 feel; stone coining in well; some lost, time duo to mtm off with influenza. South winze— SOOk 3 feeL;• total 12 feet; sinking on full face of stone; some lost time here also. Shaft: Sunk 5 feel, total 49ft; had air delayed work here. Battery: 45 tons stone sent to battery; the available stone above No. 4 level for immediate crushing is becoming scarce; the prospects below No. 4 level are very bright. Worksop Extended. —The following Is Ihe official return for week ended August 17:—1 leld, 63 ozs; hours dredged, 125; yards dredged, 8500.
