TE AWAMUTU NOTES

“GIPSY NIGHT.” On Monday evening a very original and successful dance was held by the St. John’s Girls’ Club in the Parisli Hall. The dance was run on the lines ol a "Gipsy night," and most of the dancers were dressed accordingly. Lycopodium and punga ferns were used extensively in the decorations, and the hall was dimly lit by storm lanterns which hung among the greenery. On the stage were arranged the gipsy camp and camp fire. The Marimba Dance Band played the music, and extras were given by Miss Betty Potts and Mr Henry Bert. Among those present were Mesdames S. R.
