SHIPMENTS ABROAD. •*., . BIG DECREASE SHOWN. WELLINGTON, Tuesday. A decrease of 6.69 per cent in comparison with the previous year’s reCQrd shipments of butter from the Dominion was a feature of the export season ended July 31. During the 12 months 129,704 tons of butter were exported, while during the corresponding period ended July 31, 1934, the total was 139,002 tons. Of the past year’s export, all but 4347 tons, or 3.33 per cent., was shipped to the British market.. Shipments to countries outside the United Kingdom exceeded those of the previous season by 2283 tons, most of this being represented by consignments to New YorkDuring the year, 95,242 tons were exported to London, a decrease lot the year of 7720 tons. Shipments of New Zealand cheese for the year ended July 31 were 89,812 tons compared with 101,400 tons in the preceding year, a decrease of 11,588 tons, or about 11.42 per centOnly 160 tons went to countries oiutside Britain, against 93 tons in the previous year. Shipments to the 'London market were 70,143 tons, which was 9394 tons less than in the preceding season, while 2261 tons less were consigned to other British centres, the totals.for 1935 and 1934 being 19,509 tons and 21,770 tons respectively.
