DISHONESTY CHARGES.
GARAGE OWNER PROSECUTED. WELLINGTON, Tuesday. •Charges of obtaining £2OO by false pretences, and stealing two motor-cars of a total value of £4lO, of obtaining •credit by fraud, and of escaping from custody were made against Herbert Laurence Handley, alias Herbert Howard, -alias -Herbert Laurence, aged 41, garage proprietor and painter, before Mr. E. D. Mosley S.M., to-day. All the offences but the last are alleged to have been committed at Auckland. A remand to August 14 was agreed
