ENJOYABLE EVENING.
BIRTHDAY PARTY. A very enjoyable evening was spent at the residence of Mr and Mrs C. Forkert, of Massey Street, Frankton, on Saturday, when friends and relations gathered to celebrate the ninetysecond birthday of Mr R. W. Burrows. The evening was spent playing cards, games and dancing, and songs were given by Mrs J- Burrows, Mr Keith Driver and Mr E. Burrows. Miss I. Burrows and Mr T. Davidson provided the dance music with the accordeon and mouth-organ. . The large birthday cake was decorated with ninety-two candles, and the usual toasts were honoured. A happy evening closed with the singing of “ For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow,” and “Auld Lang Syne.” Among those present were:—Mesdames C. Forkert, T. Kelly, P. Wardell, J. Burrows (Paterangi), Misses IBurrows (Paterangi), K. Forkert, I. Bolt, N. Pooley (Auckland).,
