Robinson, when moving, at the annual conference of the New Zealand Farmers Union to-day, an Auckland remit uiSing that the funds of political parties should be subject to audit by a Supreme Court Judge, and that moneys spent by any political organisation should be open to inspection in the same way as moneys spent by individual candidates. After half-an-hour’s discussion, during which several delegates expressed the view that the debate was unworthy of the union, and the subject outside its scope, the remit was lost by 26. votes to ?3.
