The hottest Sunday afternoon of Ihe summer was broken by an electrical storm at 3 p.m. to-day. Four people were killed and several others were injured on various beaches. In Hie New York mclropolilan area I lie temperature dropped from 90 degrees Fahrenheit lo 07 within a few minutes, and torrential rain sen! several hundred thousand bathers scurrying to shelter. Traffic was considerably disorganised.
