WHATAWHATA NOTES.

SUCCESSFUL DANCE.

A very successful dance was held in the Whatawhata Hall on Wednesday evening under the auspices of the Whatawhata branch of the Douglas social credit movement. The hall was attractively decorated, and excellent dance music was played by Forrest’s Dance Band. Mr A Robertson was M.C.

Euchre prizes were won by:—Ladies: Miss M. Egan 1, Mrs Wills 2; men, Mr Carlinson 1, Mr Bakewell 2. Novelty dances were won by Mrs McDonald and partner (Hamilton), and Mr and Mrs A. Rowe. A statue log cabin was won by Miss Muriel Marwood and Mr Hi’.hardson, of Te Kowhai, and a special prize was won Mr G. Magner, l'e Kowhai.
