ENJOYABLE AFTERNOON.
HAPPY TIME SPENT. Mrs G. Grylls entertained the oommlttee of the Frankton sub-branch of the Plunket Society and their friends at her home in 'Commerce Street on Thursday afternoon. Songs by Mrs L. C. Winthrop, elocutionary items by Mrs Burke, Mrs A. M. Fahey, Miss Moyna Orylls, pianoforte solos by Mrs Grant, and competitions passed the time very pleasantly. The competitions were won by Mrs Smillie, Mrs Grant, Mrs Fahey, Mrs Brinkman and Miss Moyna Orylls. Mrs Grjlls received her guests wearing a l'rock of burgundy flat crepe. Those present were:—Mesdames G. Buckland, Ewart Brown, G. Bary, J. Hogarth, Grant, L. G. Winthrop, Wineray, Cliff, Edgecumbc, W. R. Shattocic, A. J. Hayward, MeClaren, A. M. Fahey, McL. T. Clephane, Grigg, Gueness, Beenge, Brinkman, Simpson, Smillie, McDonald, Trembath, Burke.
