DAY TRIPS TO AFRICA. CAPTAIN . PERCIVAL’S FEAT. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright. LONDON, June 18. Captain E. W. Pereival, who returned to Croydon from Oran, Algeria, yesterday, after averaging 160 miles an hour on the outward flight and 156 miles an hour on the return trip, both on the same day, says he did a littie shopping at Oran and sold an aeroplane to a Frenchman. He flew all the way by compass and was only half a mile off his course when he reached his destination. Day trips to Africa would be as commonplace soon as trips to Margate. The trip to Oran cost £lO.
