In spite of heavy showers crowds of people assembled to see Die Queen, accompanied by the Duke of Gloucester, drive to Windsor, where Her Majesty will reside for Ascot Week. Villagers made a brave display of decorations. The Queen was given a special welcome at Eton, where site was presen loti with a gold snuff-box. The Earl of Harewood and Prince Arthur of . Connaught, Roth old Etonians, joined the masters in greeting Her Majesty. Tlie Prince of Wales as High Steward of Windsor waited with the Mayor and corporation at Windsor Cnslle. where the Royal servants cheered the Queen on her arrival.
