JIGGERS COLLIDE.
BRANCH LINE MISHAP.
MAN’S LEG AMPUTATED. (Dy Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, Monday. Two motor jiggers came into collision on 'the Tuatapere branch line, late on Saturday night,’ with the result that John Stenton, of Tewaewae, surfaceman, received a leg injury necessitating amputation at the Riverlon Hospital. Mrs Jackson, wife of the guard stationed at Tuatapere, who was a passenger on the jigger .received injuries to the hand, and Mr 11. Jackson, himself, received slight concussion. The two travellers' on the other jigger escaped injury.
