“WELCOME HOME.”
FARAWERA FUNCTION, A large number of friends from Te Baliu, Parawera, Ngaroto, Te Awamutu and Polviiru, assembled at Parawera on Tuesday evening to welcome home Air and Airs Jack Hart, who have recently returned from their honeymoon lo their home at Parawera. During the evening cards and games were enjoyed and songs were given by Air Jack Johnston (Ngaroto) and Mr Andrew Sutherland. Mr Ray Bourne (Te Baliu) gave humorous recitations. During supper, the Dealt li of the bride and bridegroom was drunk, with musical honours and the singing of “ For They are Jolly Good Fellows,” and “ Auld Lang Syne,” brought a very happy evening to a close.
