N.Z. LABOUR PARTY. There was a good attendance at the J initial dance of the New Zealand: I Labour Party held last evening in the . • Masonic Hall, when a very pleasant | time was spent. Excellent music was] j supplied by the Radio Dance Band, j ! and during the evening an exhibition, ■ dance by Miss Margaret O’Connor I and partner was much appreciated, j Monte Carlo and streamer dances ! were greatly enjoyed. The hali was i prettily decorated with garlands of j scarlet and cream streamers. I Among those present were: Mesj dames E. Bates, wearing black georgI ette and lace, and scarlet coatee; N. I Scott (Auckland), black ootelle, with j sequinned collar; A. Scott (Auck- [ land), midnight blue cortelle satin; IF. Stubbing, sage green matalasse; L. E. Walsh, midnight blue lace; T. Burke, amber satin beaule; Burns, bottle green matalasse; R. Smith, ivory and rose patterned crepe suede; M. Russell, black crystal beaded georgette; E. Snookes, ivory woven crepe. Misses Elsie Burns, ciel blue taffeta;! R. Murray, powder blue suede iacc; Olive Day (Tamahere), midnight blue satin beaule; F. Kunicicli (Kaitaia), (lame georgette; R- Kunicicli (Kailaia), cherry - tree bark crepe; 13. Croall, lemon and black sand crepe; A. Nutlall, sunset pink brocaded satin; M. Dixon, salmon pink satin beaule;: A. Croall, pale green satin beaule; O.j Manuel, black and white checked taffeta; M. .Manuel, black georgette; A. Murphy, black velvet and sequins; B. Anderson, lime green shell crepe; G. Swanson, gold matalasse; M. Robertson, black taffeta; 0. Waters, black sand crepe and cherry taffeta.
