Schoolboy Howlers.—When tho deputation from the Lcaguo of Nations Union was received by the Education Board recently, Mr G. A. Stewart, in support of the request for permission to distribute a booklet, quoted two schoolboy howlers concerning history. One boy’s answer lo a question was that “Raleigh was playing ducks and drakes at Plymouth while Hie Spanish armadillo singed Que’en Elizabeth’s heard." Another was that “Julius Caesar built the Great Wall of China to keep the picks and shovels out of tho North of England."
