HAMILTON WEST BRANCH

INAUGURAL MEETING. The first meeting of the Hamilton West branch of tho New Zealand Poultry Produocrs’ Federation was held at the Toorak Hall last evening, when tho branch chairman, Mr L. G. Marquand, presided. A communication was received from the Now Zealand Poultry Hoard slating the procedure which tho board desired to bo adopted for the purpose of filling two vacancies on the board. Tho communication also stated the arrangements which had been made for holding tho llrst Dominion conference of tho New Zealand Poultry Producers’ Federation. A list of suggested rules for branches was received from 'iho New Zealand Poultry Producers’ Federation. Remits to Hie fedcralion from the different district councils of the province were discussed, and it was decided to endorse several which had application to the Waikato. Wholehearted support was given lo a remit rocoinmendlng Hint an assistant be appointed to the present Government poultry Instructor In tho Auckland province, in order that farmers and poultry-keepers generally should receive a greater degree of Instruction
